Hindi | Placing an MIS+ Order in Options

In this short video, we’ll explore how to place MIS+ orders in the Options segment on Espresso platforms. In Options trading, MIS+ provides you the leverage of up to 4x for buying and up to 2x for short-selling. MIS+ is currently available for select NIFTY and Bank NIFTY contracts.

First things first – Placing an order

At the start of the video, we join the trader as they add some strike prices in Marketwatch.

We then proceed to place the order. To see details like Market Dip and Buy/Sell Options, simply tap on any option.

Switching to the MIS+ order type and placing an order

On the order placement window, CNF is the default product type. Traders need to switch this to MIS+. Next, the trader can choose to select either Market or Limit to place the order. We then see an example of a Limit order being placed. Note that it’s mandatory to add a stop-loss before placing an MIS+ order.

Next, the trader may opt to enter a Book Profit Price, which is optional. On Espresso, traders are also displayed the available balance and required margin figures right above the Place Order button for their convenience. The video then continues on to provide a real-time example of the benefit of leverage when you trade with MIS+.

What happens after I place my MIS+ order Traders can check the status of their orders in the Order Book, including all the order details and child order details. They also have the options to modify their orders.

In the Position Book, traders can view the details of their placed orders like Quantity, LTP and the profit/loss made. If they wish to square off, all they need to do is click on the scrip name and click on the Square Off button. Here, traders can view the details of the child order that they had placed with its parent order. Click on it and tap on Square Off at Market. And that’s it! The order has now been fully executed.
